March 2018 Council Update: Changes to the conditions on an Examination Candidate license to practice in Manitoba

Effective Immediately:

At the March 2018 meeting of Council, it was decided that the following condition would be added to the Examination Candidate license to practice:

  • Must not practice acupuncture or dry needling, pelvic floor internal exam or treatment, and cervical spinal manipulations while on this register

This is in addition to the current condition of:

  • Must work under the Supervision of a fully licensed physiotherapist

Both Conditions remain in effect until the individual successfully completes Part 2 Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) of the Physiotherapy Competency Examination (PCE)
