The 2019 Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020. The Council of the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM) is currently seeking nominees for Council. There is one position available on Council for the 2020-2023 Term. We are looking for registrants who represent a wide range of expertise within all areas of physiotherapy in Manitoba. Furthermore, we hope to recruit a registrant who shares our commitment to building a strong College that is recognized as a leader in public protection, influencing the future direction and regulation of physiotherapy while ensuring that Manitobans receive the quality of care they expect.
There are many benefits associated with being on CPM Council. You will learn about self-regulation, what’s happening nationally and where the profession is headed. You can be involved as the Council undertakes several important initiatives, including Continuing Competency Program Practice Audits and the work towards coming under the new legislation in The Regulated Health Professions Act. Being a member of Council provides you with the opportunity to learn from leaders in the profession, and you will also be involved in developing the future direction of physiotherapy in Manitoba.
Rural members are strongly encouraged to apply. CPM has the ability to host meetings online. This creates an easy way for you to participate in College activities. If you would like more information regarding virtual meetings, please contact Jennifer Billeck at the College.
In order to put your name forward for Council, please print and complete the Council Nomination Form. Once you have completed the form, please forward a copy to the office by mail, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by faxing a copy to 204-474-2506.
Please feel free to post the Now Accepting Nominations Poster for physiotherapy staff at your facility/place of employment.
