The Council of the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM) is currently seeking nominees to join Council or one of the many committees at the College. We are looking for registrants who represent a wide range of expertise within all areas of physiotherapy in Manitoba. Furthermore, we would like to share our commitment to building a strong College that is recognized as a leader in public protection, influencing the future direction and regulation of physiotherapy while ensuring that Manitobans receive the quality of care they expect.
There are many benefits associated with being on Council or a committee at the College. You will learn about self-regulation, what’s happening nationally and where the profession is headed. You can be involved as the Council undertakes several important initiatives, including Continuing Competency Program practice audits as well as coming under the new legislation in the Regulated Health Professions Act. Being a Council or Committee member provides you with the opportunity to learn from the leaders in the profession, and you will also be involved in developing the future direction of physiotherapy in Manitoba.
Rural members are strongly encouraged to apply. CPM now has the ability to host meetings online! This creates an easy way for you to participate in College activities. If you would like more information regarding this program, please contact Jennifer Billeck (email@example.com) at the College.
YOU can make a difference to the future of physiotherapy in this province. If you are concerned about health care and physiotherapy, standards of practice or any issue that affects our profession, NOW is the time to focus your energy in this direction. Experience and knowledge about these issues are not required – only a desire to learn.
