in a recognized physiotherapy education program. The University
of Manitoba usually provides CPM with a class list of all students

Canadian University physiotherapy programs will need to submit
written confirmation that the applicant is a student in their
program who has successfully completed all academic and clinical
work to date. International students will be required to undergo
a credentialing process to ensure that the education program of

physiotherapy program. CPM requires confirmation that the applicant
is a physiotherapy student and not a student of some other profession.

the public in Manitoba for a specific purpose and for a limited
time period. These circumstances may include participation in
a sporting event as a physiotherapist who is practicing on the
public, and teaching or attending a physiotherapy related course
in which members of the public are used for demonstration purposes.
Physiotherapists not currently registered with CPM but planning
to come to the province and undertake physiotherapy related activities
where the general public is involved are expected to register
with CPM in advance of their arrival.
Those physiotherapists coming to Manitoba to teach or attend a
physiotherapy related course involving a practical component are
required to provide proof of membership in good standing from
their current regulatory body.
Those physiotherapists who are coming to Manitoba to provide physiotherapy
services to the public (e.g. a sporting event) are required to
provide a criminal record check, evidence of membership in good
standing and evidence of current professional liability insurance
coverage.
|
|
| |
|

|
|

should notify the Registrar that the physiotherapist(s) will be
coming to Manitoba for a physiotherapy-related event that directly
involves the public. |
|
| |
|
2. The applicant applies
in writing to the Registrar stating the particular circumstances
and the proposed length of time that he or she wishes to practice.
The applicant must also provide evidence satisfactory to the College
that he/she has a level of competence appropriate to the particular
circumstance |
|
| |
|
3. A registration form
and membership in good standing form will be supplied to the applicant.

liability insurance coverage should be forwarded to the Registrar. |
